From June 18th to 20th, 2024, our partners CRF and ILTAR hosted a pivotal plenary meeting at their facilities, welcoming representatives from all partnering organisations.
First day highlights
The first day of the meeting featured presentations of the results and details of the Use Cases of FFT, SEW, CRF and ILTAR. These presentations were vital for informing the participants about the User Stories, resolving ambiguities, and starting preparations for the project’s first review meeting in September. The day concluded with in-depth discussions on the optimisation tools to be developed within MODAPTO.
Second day highlights
The second day of the meeting began with an introduction and essential safety briefings concerning the industrial environment, followed by a comprehensive tour of Iltar – Italbox facilities. This tour allowed all partners to familiarise themselves with the factory’s operations, equipment, and manufacturing processes. Participants split into two groups to gain a better understanding of the functions of Iltar – Italbox facilities and the of the main features and capabilities of Kit Holders and produced parts.
Discussions focused on the tools, self-awareness, predictive maintenance, analytics, and sustainability analytics tools that will be developed within MODAPTO. This was followed by a discussion on the architecture developed by AEGIS, specifically focusing on specific flow and sequence diagrams to clarify MODAPTO related issues. A critical session on project technical coordination took place to align on all technical aspects and software components, assessing which reached a sufficient maturity level in preparation for the project’s review process by the EU.
This meeting was essential for settling unresolved problems, making decisions on unclear issues, and beginning preparations for the project’s first review meeting. During a subsequent management meeting, partners discussed important project matters, including planning the next consortium steps and upcoming tasks, such as preparing for the review meeting.
The day concluded with a dinner hosted by ILTAR in Orbassano, providing partners with a casual setting to discuss issues and strengthen their collaborative ties.
Third day highlights
The third day of the meeting began with a tour of CRF facilities, focusing on areas where the MODAPTO project’s robots are located. A comprehensive explanation was provided to ensure everyone understood the functions and procedures of these robots.
The meeting continued with a review of the communication and dissemination activities conducted so far, along with planning for future activities in the coming months.
Finally an interactive workshop on MODAPTO Business Value Exploration was held. This workshop helped partners familiarise themselves with exploitation issues, reinforce the consortium’s view of the project’s business value proposition, and raise awareness on IPR issues.
Overall, the three-day meeting at CRF and ILTAR marked significant progress towards achieving our technical and strategic objectives, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the MODAPTO project!
