From 4 to 5 November 2025, the MODAPTO consortium met at EKS InTec GmbH’s premises in Weingarten, Germany, for the 6th and final plenary meeting before the project concludes at the end of the year. Over two days of focused discussions, live demonstrations, and strategic coordination, partners worked together to finalize technical integration, review key outcomes, and prepare for the Final Review scheduled for February 2026.
Day 1 centered on the three industrial pilots – FFT, SEW USOCOME, and CRF/ILTAR. Each team showcased progress through live demos, highlighting how MODAPTO tools are now fully integrated into production environments. Presentations emphasized practical achievements in interoperability, distributed control, and digital-twin-enabled reconfiguration.
Technical sessions followed, addressing open issues related to system deployment, UI integration, and synchronization of digital services. Partners also reviewed alignment between user stories and project KPIs to ensure all measurable objectives are demonstrated in the upcoming review. The day concluded with a working dinner in Weingarten, offering space for informal exchanges and reflections on the project’s three-year journey.
On Day 2, the focus shifted to final deliverables and review preparation. Updates were shared on training materials, the “train-the-trainers” programme, and SME and stakeholder engagement.
As the meeting closed, the atmosphere was one of achievement and shared purpose. MODAPTO partners left Weingarten confident and aligned for the final phase – ready to demonstrate how modular, interoperable digital twins can strengthen Europe’s manufacturing competitiveness.
