From 13 to 15 May 2025, the University of Lorraine (UL) hosted MODAPTO’s 5th plenary meeting in Nancy, bringing together all project partners for three days of collaboration, progress reviews, and strategic planning for the road ahead.
The first day focused on Pilot 2 (SEW) and SEW-Usocome team provided updates on the pilot’s overall status, the development of user stories, and the current state of the tools being developed. We also looked at the progress toward our objectives and KPIs, including a business view on their relevance. The conversation then moved to technical discussions, particularly around Work Package 4,and Work Packages 5.
The day concluded with a relaxed group dinner in Nancy, generously hosted by the University of Lorraine – a perfect setting for informal conversations and reinforcing collaboration among partners.
On the second day, the focus shifted to Pilots 1 (FFT) and 3 (CRF/ILTAR). Similar to Day 1, partners shared detailed updates on status, user stories, and tool development. Live demonstrations gave everyone a clearer picture of how things are progressing.
The agenda then turned to system-level topics: MODAPTO’s architecture, integration, and deployment. Partners also discussed the front-end services developed by AEGIS, BOC, and ATC, including decision support, virtual commissioning, and UI elements. The group agreed on the next development steps for the coming months.
Another dinner hosted by UL brought the day to a pleasant close.
The final day began with a quick recap of key points from the previous day. Much of the discussion centered on making the MODAPTO Learning Homepage more user-friendly and ensuring easy access to training materials.
Partners also reviewed progress on communication, dissemination, exploitation, and liaison activities – with a particular focus on SME engagement and upcoming outreach plans. Updates were also shared on the development of training materials and the preparation of trainers.
The next plenary meeting will take place in Weingarten this November on EKS’s premises. Until then, all partners will continue developing and collaborating as MODAPTO moves into its next phase.
