From November 26–27, 2024, the European Digital Innovation HUB (EDIH) Network Summit 2024 took place in Brussels, gathering over 700 stakeholders from across Europe. The summit offered a dynamic platform for in-depth discussions on digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, smart connectivity, and more. Among the attendees was the Lithuanian Innovation Centre (LIC), which presented MODAPTO and explored opportunities for collaboration with other EDIHs.
MODAPTO: Driving innovation in reconfigurable and interoperable industrial systems
At the summit, Tautvydas Pipiras, LIC Project Manager, highlighted how MODAPTO’s international partnership develops cutting-edge modular production systems and how EU industry could benefit from its value proposition. Speaking on the synergy between MODAPTO and E-DIH.LT, Pipiras shared:

Increasingly, we’re seeing a strong demand for greater interoperability between manufacturing modules, alongside a growing emphasis on sustainability analytics. MODAPTO’s international network offers valuable expertise for customers looking to upgrade their modular production systems to make them more adaptable and reconfigurable. We also invite other EDIHs to collaborate, share insights, and test the innovative solutions we’re currently developing.”
A platform for collaboration and partnerships
The EDIH Network Summit provided an invaluable opportunity for LIC to connect with other digital innovation hubs, thematic working groups, and national authorities. By participating in roundtables and networking sessions, LIC representatives engaged in conversations about the future of digitalisation, exchanging knowledge and exploring collaborative opportunities.
Key topics such as AI challenges, cybersecurity, and digital health were at the forefront of the discussions, sparking interest in how MODAPTO’s flexible and sustainable production solutions could contribute to these domains.
